"A wonderful stay in Kyoto - perfect for people who are interested in Japanese style accommodations, but with an updated, modern twist. We had a meal plan, and the breakfast and dinners were amazing, traditional Japanese set meals that can be a little hard to find on a budget. Public baths were our favorite part of the stay (as they usually are when we stay at a place with onsen or sento facilities), and there are laundry facilities on site for you to do laundry as well. Staff was super attentive...

"This was an amazing place! We had never stayed in a Royal con before, and very glad we chose this location. The owners were extremely friendly, and the room was very comfortable. "Super unique experience off the beaten path to stay in a beautiful Ryokan. Would be great for a value with larger families, but be prepared to understand the busses or get a taxi, not a ton to do in the immediate area. On the other hand, staff was nice, limited but plenty of English with my terrible Japanese. Food was excellent and beautifully plated. Rooms were truly amazing, one of my favorite things on my travels."
