"We got off to a shaky start as the automated check in process was a but of a nightmare and the staff were all tied up with Sunday lunch. Following this however things picked up. The room was clean and had plenty of space and the property itself was in very good condition. Had an excellent carvery on arrival and breakfast was also really nice. After the initial slip up staff were very helpful and polite. There was plenty of parking and the registry process for parking was nice and easy. Well...

"We had a little overnight stay at The Grand Hotel in Roker and we weren’t disappointed what a lovely hotel so clean and the staff were absolutely fantastic especially the man on reception!!so friendly nothing was a bother The beds were so comfortable we are booking again in a couple of weeks time without the children this time ha ha "

"Really good check in. Just some work tools cleaning products left in landing areas and a hole in the wall behind the curtain. None of this affected my stay. I was upgraded to a better room on arrival. "
