The building is a mixture, part ancient with wooden beams forming the original structure, a Victorian addiition, and later ad-ons. The bar has a good selection of beverages with chatty bar staff. "Old building but rooms are good"

"Firstly we liked the property, its location, the room and a great breakfast served by friendly staff. Our only issue was our room was next to a club playing loud music between 7 and 1, apparently on Fridays and Saturdays. The owners are in dispute over this and were able to move us to a room away from the noise."
