"Was lovely aside from a knock on the door from house keeping thinking we checked out already 30 minutes before we where supposed to check out? Never had that in any other hotel just felt rushed out then as he waited outside "

"Enjoyed my two-night stay at The Alan. The room was spacious and beautifully designed. Bed and sofa both really comfortable. There were some ups and downs with the service - breakfast on our first day was borderline shambolic, though on day two it was great. Our room was not properly cleaned (bed was made but tea/coffee not replenished and bins not emptied). This was made worse by their ‘WhatsApp the reception desk’ concept where we then asked for the tea/coffee to be replenished, were told...

"Staff were very friendly...I arrived very early & they were still able to check me in, which was beyond Wonderful. Room was nice, bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water...yes, the room was quite small, but it worked for me. Tram stop for St. Peter's was directly in front of hotel and there were usually taxis parked across the street. Unlikely that I will return to Manchester, but I would definitely stay here again if I ever do."

"Didn't like the late announcements from the nearby train station perhaps something could be done about that with network rail "
