We stayed at the Leonardo Manchester Picadilly last year and enjoyed our stay so decided to book the Manchester Central hotel this year for our stay. Unfortunately we didnt feel the standards were matched. The central heating was not working in the room we had for our first night. We were told no other rooms were available so were given an electrical heater in place. The heater did absolutely nothing so our room was freezing the whole night. We spoke to the hotel the following morning to see what could be done as we booked for 2 nights and couldnt stay in that room another night. Carolyn on reception was extemely helpful and managed to move us to another room. Unfortunately though the shower was not working properly in this room and the bathroom was dirty. We spent most of our time out of the hotel so we couldnt be bothered to ask to move again but we definitely will not be staying at the hotel again. Helpful staff but the hotel is definitely not to standard.

An okay stay, but there was hardly any space between the edge of the double bed and the window, so it was just a little squashed. Breakfast okay but because of the layout people were getting in each others’ way so had to have your wits about you!

Clean. Newly built and nicely decorated hotel. Even though it’s close to the station and very central the rooms are very quiet. Staff were all super friendly. The breakfast buffet has a decent selection of food. For parking the Q-Park across the road is the best option. It’s roughly £15 for a whole day and has electric car charging bays. You can book in advance. The location is super convenient for visiting the universities.

The hotel itself was very good and staff were excellent. Be warned, there is no car park! Parking is about 300m away and is a light rail public car park. Only about £6.50 overnight but a bit inconvenient. No problems if you’re going by cab or public transport.
