"The staff is wonderful, kind, and accommodating. The breakfast is very good. The second room we got was nice and big and the bathroom had hot water. However, the first bedroom had no hot water and the second bedroom had outside dogs barking all night long. People who have pets in the neighborhood should be considerate and keep their pet dogs indoors so neighbors are able to sleep during the night."

"This is basically a family run old school bed and breakfast. Not a bad thing, but something I wish I knew before booking. The plus, it's reasonably comfortable. It's near the lake. The family is friendly. The catch is that there was a lot of kids running around and playing from about 7am to 11pm. "Our stay was quite disappointing, to the point I felt I was ripped off. To start with, as I was booking, all the information including photos indicated a room with a view to the river.....not only did we NOT get a view to the river, our bedroom window on the ground floor (right next to the office of the concierge/front desk) had a view to a filthy storage area that had the exit air tube of the dryer machine hit directly to our window. "The Lodge/B&B is very well run by a semi-retired couple. Our room was small but there are 2 comfortable common spaces for guests.Breakfast was the best I have had in Chile as it includes homemade breads and jams and fresh juice. The yard has many apple trees, and backs onto a small beautiful river. There is a sauna, hammocks and lounge chairs so you can relax outside. "When I arrived the woman said there was no reservation for me, that they were full and that they do not have an agreement with Expedia. I could find no other place to stay that night. It’s unclear to me if this issue is with Portal Austral or Expedia. Lame! "

"Very quirky/alternate accommodation. Staff were excellent. The room and ensuite were spacious. The breakfast was very good and you can have basic vegetarian meals which is mainly pizza. We had pizza which was excellent, however the menu is very limited and does not include any salads which seems strange as it is vegetarian. Smalland cozy hotel with some lovely sitting areas."

"The building is very charming and the grounds are lovely. The staff is very welcoming and helpful and the food was good. That being said, the pictures and description are a little misleading. The hotel is not on the shore of Lake Llanquehue. It has a large pond that it borders (as shown in the picture for the hotel). Although the pond was nice and included a rowboat which guests can use at anytime, there were hundreds of very noisy birds, detracting from what could be a very tranquil experience....

"A very rustic accommodation, really enjoyed the fire and being in the forest. A little rough around the edges (marks on sheets, dirty kettle in the kitchen, bathroom in need of an upgrade) but if you value atmosphere and a camping feel worth a stay. "

Great Hotel

"Spent a week at Vientios del Sur and and was happy with everything, especially the staff who were all so friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the breakfast is excellent, and it is in a great location, within easy walking distance of everything in central Pucón."

"Very comfortable, elegant "rustic" large hotel. Excellent breakfasts, comfortable room. Some interpretative advertising in terms of views...Were offered room with view of lake and instead had a view on a very large pine tree which completely obstructed view (would have appreciated heads up and offer to relocate at time of check-in, prior to unpacking) Hotel did offer alternate accommodation when we expressed our disappointment but we had already unpacked and chose in the end not to move. Otherwise, staff very friendly. Property impeccably clean and quiet. Would recommend."
