"The property is wonderfully located. It is a nice historic house and the bedroom and bath are very spacious. The problem for us was that the tub is a high step over the rim and the shower is only hand held. Since my husband has double knee replacement, this was a problem and providing a step stool would have made life easier. Although I like a chilly bedroom at night, it was also quite cold during the day. The owner seemed quite put out that we mentioned these problems."

"Good location, clean and convinient. The only downside is noise from the staircase which by the way is quite narrow. "

"I absolutely LOVED the stay in Brussels! Never been to Brussels before and I love it. The stay was fabulous with a gorgeous room that I wasn’t expecting it to be so nice. Great breakfast in the morning and they made sure everything was good throughout the stay. I would give 20 stars if I could. I do a lot of traveling and have not stayed in a better place. Beds were so comfortable, shower was some of the best water pressure I have ever had, these words sum it up: Amazing! Beautiful! Friendly!...

"Erick (and his fluffy cats) welcomed us to his lovely home for our Christmas market break. He was an incredibly friendly host, sharing plenty of recommendations for things to do in the local area. His breakfasts are entirely homemade, with bread, yoghurt, and jams that he bakes/prepares himself. He even presses his own orange juice. "It's a budget property, in a less than popular area, close the the midi station and a short walk to everything in the city centre. The out of hours arrangement was perfectly ok, though getting through the front door was challenging. All the icons were rubbed out, so makes it difficult to press the right keys, but they've promised to replace the key pad. Sadly the WiFi was none existent, pretty poor when all cafés and centres have copious WiFi in this developed city!! But sadly not at Smartflats...
