"Was a lovely hotel with lovely staff in a nice location, I do like the kings inn hotels but admittedly the bathroom wasn’t very clean nor modern and it did smell a little, but it was still good for the price we paid to stay there. The bed was comfortable and we had a sleep without any disturbances. Also breakfast was nice, and the bar maids were very nice and it was very calm and chilled to sit and have a drink in the evening. "

"Loved staying in such an old building that is full of character! The location is perfect. It's a busy pub with a great heated court yard. The room was great, beds are super comfy, however it was very hot and it would have been good to have a bottle of water in the room. I was also woken at 6am by the hoovering of the pub downstairs (stayed on the 1st floor). Breakfast was good and the staff were all friendly. Would defiantly recommend if you're looking for somewhere magical to stay in York 😀"

"Stayed here before. Its a good cheap option located next-door to the minster. Only problem we had was a leaking valve on the radiator resulting in a damp patch on the carpet. We will stay here again. "

"Dated room with peeling wallpaper, lukewarm water, and small uncomfortable bed. Certainly not worth £90. Dinner was shocking, and can only be described as a congealed bowl of slob. Meals were returned to the kitchen uneaten, but the £26 were not refunded. Breakfast was ok, but served on a dirty table with last night's drink stains on it. The only saving grace were the friendly and welcoming staff."

"Its a delightful tavern. Plenty of room on the car park and onto a traditional, friendly bar where my hosts booked me in quickly and with a great intro to how everything worked. I had room 2, in a purpose built outbuilding and I was really pleased with the first impression. Everything worked as it should and there were lots of extras not normally given in this type of accommodation.
