"Friendly hotel with good location to explore Ambleside. Dog friendly and even though dogs are not allowed in the restaurant they set up a table in the lounge for you so your dog can accompany you and provide table service. Catered to my needs being gluten free and requiring soya milk and even made my decaffeinated coffee just how I liked it. Will definitely stay again 😄 xx"

"Lovely, newly renovated property. Lots of walks and villages around 2 miles away with pubs. The Waterfall to the rear is a sight as well. The food in the green dragon is out of this world, really excellent. Room newly renovated, clean and the WiFi was fantastic as well. Did think it a little stingy that they charged £15 for a dog to stay, however there was a tennis ball, dog biscuits and a pack of poo bags in a box on arrival. Would definitely come back again"

"The property has its own parking. The couple who own The Copper Kettle are so helpful. The bed was so comfy. Great price lovely breakfast. Would stay again. "

"Fabulous location with lovely walks in many directions right from the doorstep. Nice room with great en-suite and lovely Bath House toiletries. Delicious breakfast with lots of choice and the hot selection was really well cooked. Friendly and efficient staff - would definitely recommend and stay again. "

"We absolutely loved our time at Windermere Suites and Windermere. Vicky and Alex were very welcoming and helpful. We loved their advice on places to see, their helpfulness and good conversation. The breakfast was delicious and very generous with a wide variety to choose from. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The bathroom was amazing with a massive spa bath, mood lighting and tv. Our stay here has certainly been a highlight of our European trip!"

"We had a wonderful stay at 1 Park Road in September, having stayed here now for many years. Hilton is an excellent host and nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is beautiful with allergens catered for with prior notice. Such a relaxing time in the lovely bright dining room. The room is lovely, very stylish and with a very comfortable king size bed. Bathroom and tea making facilities are great too. Ideal to walk into Windermere, just a 5-10 minute walk to all the shops, pubs and...

"Had a great stay here. Staff were friendly, rooms were clean and newly refurbished. Lovely views from the rooms at the rear. Breakfast was really nice with everything grilled and perfect poached eggs. Would come again."

"The host is helpful in reception of guest. She explained the entrance security and parking inormation in detail. The full English breakfast was delicious and hot enough."

"Very comfortable room and quiet considering it was a public house. Slight noise from being on a main road but I live in a very rural area so any noise will be noticeable for me! Very friendly and helpful staff."

"Nice caravan, situated close to all amenities, if you have stayed in a Haven Park before this caravan would be classed as a Bronze accommodation, to give you the comparison if you were to book your stay with Haven direct. Weather was great, park very busy with the weekend campers (tents) this area was packed, kids play park was a free for all, I would say too small for the amount of families staying onsite, wonder what the middle of summer holidays would be like when all caravans and camping...

"The hotel was comfortable and had wonderful views of the lake . The decor had a Scottish feel and was clean. We were booked to have a Snug but ended up having a classic double. So spacious a d comfortable. For breakfast we had a lot of choice including a full Engish. Staff were polite and helpful. One tip: when you arrive at the hotel, park in front and unload your bags before parking in the car park. Otherwise you will have to carry your bags up stairs to reception. On the whole a lovely hotel close to Lake Windemere. Will definitely stay here again. "

"Didn't realise at time of booking, this hotel was next to the ferry/boat terminal. This meant we would walk a short distance from the hotel and board the ferry/boat to Ambleside and Bowness. Also the hotel is next to the Aquarium and steam train attraction. We also found the spa (pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms) were not being used by other guests from 2pm to 4pm, which meant we had all this to ourselves. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Hotel staff very good and professional (especially George). It was that enjoyable, we stayed an additional night. Top hotel for sure. "

"From the moment we pulled into the car park we had a great welcome and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were brilliant for the whole stay. We had a 4 poster room which have amazing views of the lake. Breakfast was very good with great choices and perfectly cooked hot selection. Service was 5 star."
