"We had a wonderful 5 night stay at Ellerbrook House. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. The room was clean, comfortable and had lovely extra touches with free toiletries and tea/coffee. The breakfasts were lovely and there was a lot of choice. Wouldn’t hesitate recommending this place for a stay in Windermere. Town was a 5 min walk away with a good range of restaurants too. Pleasure to meet you Rob and Becky. "Hit really lucky weather wise it was a beautiful weekend, B&B is in excellent location just a stones throw from Ambleside town we checked in efficiently with Jo who is really warm and welcoming - room was comfortable and well presented with everything we needed. Spent 2 lovely days around Ambleside with a great breakfast to set us up each day. Would recommend and return."

"Wonderful place to stop while hiking the coast to coast trail. Didn't realize you had to walk around the building to check in just off the parking lot, since we didn't arrive by car. Steph was so welcoming and did a load of wash for us for a small donation in their cup on the bar. A fire alarm went off at 450 am bolting us out of bed. Turned out to be nothing but I think I remember reading about this happening before in someone's write up. Dinner and breakfast was good! "

"Mike and Lynn run a first-class professional establishment. They provide an appropriately relaxed environment with excellent facilities. Our room was quiet, spacious and spotless. The bed was comfortably firm. For those traveling by car, the ample parking in an enclosed courtyard is a rare bonus. Breakfast selections are prepared with care. Overall, the property and management deserve a five-star rating."

"I picked this property after an extensive search and reading tons of reviews. As I prefer a house type accommodation, this fit my needs. A plus for me was facilities to brew coffee in the room, and a communal fridge to store my heavy cream. Milk is provided for guests in that fridge too. Furnishings were typically British, amenities were plentiful, water was hot, and bed comfy. Breakfast was tasty with lots of choice. As a single female traveller, I felt very safe. "Very comfortable room and quiet considering it was a public house. Slight noise from being on a main road but I live in a very rural area so any noise will be noticeable for me! Very friendly and helpful staff."
