"On the property lives 2 roosters which are very loud (and beautifull). And you have to feed them otherwise they will scream non stop. They start to beg for food around 4 am. Plus there is no hot water in sinks which makes living very uncomfortable (no dishwasher as well). If you want to have a nice shower - forget about it! Showers have electrical warmers and you have to use small water presser to make it work. We got no hot water in both bathrooms when we arrived. Later shower was fixed in...

"This place was great. Extremely close to the cloud forest reserve. The property manager went above and beyond. We got a home made breakfast brought to us every morning that was delicious. She arranged adventures for us to partake in nearby and followed up when a shuttle didn't arrive as previously scheduled. We had a wonderful experience at this property and highly recommend booking with Christina and supporting a Costa Rican if you are visiting Monteverde!!! You won't be disappointed."

"We arrived to breathtaking views of Lake Arenal and the volcano. Over the next couple of days we savored delicious varied breakfasts and a German cuisine inspired dinner that was prepared and customized to accommodate our dietary restrictions. All of us enjoyed visiting the hot tub daily. The library was well utilized during our stay. So many genres of books for our varied interests! We strolled through the gardens, admiring the many tropical plants and flowers and even saw toucans both...

"We had a wonderful stay, family of 5. We enjoyed the wellness walk and all of the beautiful landscaping and foliage that attracts the nature that surrounds you. Make sure you get to the 10 spot to enjoy the ancient tree. We loved having coffee on the deck around the master upstairs, watching birds of every color and type, we even saw toucan and green parrots in the tree. Has binoculars available also. Had everything we needed including bottled jugs of water when first getting to the property....
