"This was one of our favorite hotels as we traveled through Costa Rica. The view from the room was incredible of the Arenal volcano and it was set in the rainforest. We woke up to seeing toucans flying around not far from our balcony. The location was a perfect for all of our activities of La fortuna. We would love to stay here again in the future if in the area. "

"Loved the huge, beautiful grounds and the activities offered at the resort. We did the tubing and horseback riding - great fun and so convenient that it was at the resort. Concierge was very helpful finding us local tours, arranging transportation, etc. And good dining options too. We ate every meal at the resort except lunch during excursions. Really convenient and relaxing to have good dining at the resort. We loved the hot springs by the river, especially the one right above the waterfall. Very good resort for family. "

"The food was great, especially the international and the Latin restaurant! The breakfast buffet was the best! The staff were also very friendly and attentive! Mattie, the sweet cook that made our eggs every morning was just amazing! She was always smiling and happy to be cooking for us. Francis that greeted us during the breakfast buffet was also fantastic! So cheerful and very welcoming! We did not stay on the premiere side so our room was dated but we still had a great time at the resort! If you want to upgrade and have a better room then pay extra to stay on the premiere side. We do not stay in our room long enough to really care about that! The beach is not for swimming but we went on an excursion to Isla Tortuga for the best beach experience! A must tour! The resort has many pool games and activities but just know that it is mainly in Spanish. We wish it was more in English but we still had fun participating in some of the activities! Overall, we had such an amazing vacation there and highly recommend it! "
