Food selection was limited, but the food itself was tasty. Most staff were friendly, but not overly helpful. Bar tenders were rarely AT the bar and needed called over, and would not make cocktails that included more than 2 ingredients. Some weird, rather limiting all-Inclusive rules. No food available outside of prescribed buffet times, so don’t miss out on a meal and you’ll be just fine.
We had a good time, but had to work and plan to have a good time. Don’t expect to be pampered here. We rented a car and rather enjoyed exploring the island during most days, otherwise would have been pretty bored.
Pool area leaves a lot to be desired. No hot tub. No lights in pool, so just feels dark and not welcoming once the sun goes down (which is around 7:00p).
Bring bug spray, gnats morning through night and mosquitos show up every evening. Stray cats roamed around underfoot every dinner time, birds loomed nearby at lunch. Don’t leave your food unattended to refill your drink! Also found and killed a scorpion in my bathroom the first night. Maybe that’s just island life?
Beach towels provided are old, thin, raggedy. Beach chairs are included, but public can also come and rent them and they go quickly! So get down there early (8:30 local time) and you’ll get a spot.
It’s small, homey, and a decent chill pad if you’re off to scuba/snorkel/explore. Set your expectations low before arriving and you’ll likely have a nice vacation like we did.
