She is not your usual cookie-cutter chain. You will sleep in a room that was once, long ago, someone’s bedroom. The staff was perfect. The split of wine waiting for us in our room was a nice touch, and the complimentary table service breakfast really sealed the experience. "

"As a woman traveling solo on business, I felt very safe staying in Winston-Salem at this B&B. The Alspaugh King Room is gorgeous. It is thoughtfully appointed and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is just incredible, with a claw-foot tub and a large shower. They even gave me complimentary wine and pretzels at check-in. Three restaurants were just a short walk away, too. I loved every minute of staying here - it was incredibly relaxing after a long day of travel. "

"This little place was perfect for my husband & I. We were in Winston Salem meeting friends and needed a litle efficiency place for a couple of nights. Clean, comfortable bed, plenty of coffee supplied, good size refrigerator and the host was wonderful to work with. There is no stove or oven, but we weren't looking for one. "Wonderful property in a quiet, safe neighborhood within 10 minutes of almost everything in Winston-Salem. Good walking area (albeit hilly). Home was recently renovated with a very nice kitchen and bathrooms, one with a walk-in shower. Owner has stocked almost every amenity under the sun from K-Cups with creamer, sugar and Sweet and Low to wrapped toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner. Frequent travelers will even appreciate the high quality of the toilet paper...

"House was clean and well organized. We were visiting colleges and the house is in a great location for visiting Wake Forest and still have quick access to the interstate for visiting other nearby schools from the same house. "
