"Casa Grande was a wonderful retreat and perfect for recharging. The pool is spring fed and delightful. The yoga teacher was excellent and a great masseuse. The property is not really close to restaurants (about 25 minutes) but the restaurant on site was delicious and reasonably priced. I'd love to go back."

"The property is quite large and is a nice island house. The bedrooms have air conditioning and it seems like the house has undergone some renovations as many parts look new. The best feature of the house is the very large porch with multiple hammocks. We spent most our time here. The host was fantastic and ensured we had everything we need. The only surprise was the location. The map on VRBO is not correct and the home is further away from the city than indicated on the site."

"Perfect in everyway for out multi generational winter getaway! Amazing outdoor/pool area, great neighborhood, private yet close to amenities and beautiful beaches. Loved the Lechuga bakery on the corner. The hosts left a beautiful welcome basket of fresh fruits, and beverages and the home was well stocked with the basic needs that are very helpful to have on hand. Many games and pool toys on hand with many activities right in the house for all ages. I found the hosts to be extremely thoughtful to our family experience. Thank you Nelson and Miguel for ensuring our family had a great stay. Five Star experience!"

"My husband and I travelled with my parents to spend a long weekend at Rose Nest in January. We were looking for a beautiful peaceful warm weather escape, and this absolutely nailed it. The property and view from the house are wonderful. The house and pool were very clean. The bedrooms each have individual AC units so sleeping is very comfortable. With the back and front doors to the house open, you get a decent cross breeze in the living space. The kitchen was well appointed - we had everything that we needed to cook and fully enjoy the home. The beach in front of the house is expansive and pretty private. Although the surf was too high outside the house to swim, there is a protected cove about a half mile walk down the beach with flat and crystal clear water that made for a great swimming spot. The village of Jarealito is tiny and quiet but has a small bakery/market, sandwich shop, and small restaurant within just a few minutes walk of the house. The neighborhood felt very safe. Within a few minutes driving from the house, there are more options for restaurants (many right on the water for incredible views while you dine). Aside from visiting local beaches and restaurants, there isn’t necessarily a lot “to do”, but if you’re in the market for a relaxing beach getaway, this is it. Note: communication from property manager didn’t come til day of check-in, but arrival and departure were smooth. The listing has a washer/dryer, but it costs extra to use it. "
