"Some positives; very friendly and helpful staff, less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. Short walk to the mall, shopping, and center of town which has an abundance of Christmas Markets this time of year. The room has a small kitchenette which was very nice. "No air-conditioning and hot weather made the heat in the apartment unbearable. It fluctuated between 29 and 31 degrees Celsius according to the thermostat (even with two fans running), but it felt hotter. The room was dusty and could have been cleaner. The spiral staircase to the loft was extremely steep and flimsy. One of the steps was broken and a heavier person could easily fall through. I pointed this out but it was never fixed during our stay. "We stayed for 3 nights in December, the breakfast was good and never busy, staff checking us in wet friendly and polite and spoke multiple languages. The areas itself is ok, it's near a tram stop into the centre of Basel and within close enough proximity to local amenities such as the Co-op to stock up on some essentials for cooking. "This hotel is centrally located and check-in was easy. The staff is very courteous and we enjoyed drinks at the bar one night. Accommodations met all of our expectations. "

"Stayed in a superior room with balcony. The room is clean nice but a bit small. It is far from city center. If you have car than its ok. Parking is free but not many hotel parking space so you park on the street, we didnt have problem with parking but im not sure if the hotel is full it will be easy to find. Breakfast is great. Staff are friendly. View from Balcony is great. Its a nice hotel and i recommend it as a place to stay and trip arround."
