"We were really disappointed that the pool bar etc was not open on xmas day - this was not mentioned at the time of booking, as well as we wanted to book in for the xmas day lunch but were advised a day or 2 beforehand that it was fully booked out....only offering pizzas on xmas day was really poor form. We ended up having to go to another resort for xmas day dinner and spend our money there."

"Truly an excellent place, the owners didnt hesistate to put the best building materials into the villa. There are at least 5 to 6 towel hangers in bathroom. No stinginess there. The architect did an amazing job making a 2 BR villa look big, and on our first entry we said "wow". The swimming pool was special with lots of little spa like sections, all connected to main section, people can sit around and chat with separate privacy. "Where to start!! Stay at the Silky Oaks Lodge was truly a dream come true. The staff is amazing and made us feel so welcomed and special from the moment we arrived. Our room was perfect - very clean and the mini bar was stocked with everything you could need. Our view was in the middle of the rainforest with river views and total privacy. We enjoyed time on the patio together and the bathtub was heavenly. Every meal was delicious. Such a dream!!! "
