"I got in about 12:30 in the morning after a long flight and the front desk lady had the front door locked with no way to reach her. After enough knocking she finally came with an attitude like i was doing something wrong I had a reservation paid for already and did not appreciate that introduction. Then she followed up with some more very rude abrupt service i told her i didnt appreciate her service and she tried to explain by saying she got robbed the other night is which i continued to say if that was your problem for letting me in then maybe you should find another job instead of treating everybody criminal and locking the doors during business hours. "

"A nicely done repurposing of a historic cotton mill. The room was unique and pleasant, the staff was courteous and attentive, breakfast was better than the usual fare, and we were treated to milk and cookies in the evening. Location is convenient for walks to downtown or Old Salem."

"This is a beautiful historic property with an exceptional French restaurant (Katherine's) on premises. Rooms are smallish, as you might suspect, but with the quirky Kimpton charm and high quality. There is no parking lot and a lack of on-street parking."
