"Lovely place, very central. Adapted room, very hot. Also, smelt of stale urine, although the room was very clean. Parked in 1 of only 2 disabled bays and in the morning had to ask reception to get a car moved (not disabled) from the bay next to ours as we couldn't get into our car. Bit disappointing. "

"The hotel is in need of refurbishment to say the least the bar area was disgusting seats broken only bottles as pumps not working and dirty glasses infact the hotel should be condemned. "The staff were very helpful, breakfast was plentiful, well cooked and a huge variety of options. However!! The access to this hotel is very confusing and sat nav leaves you high and dry on a main road. The hotel is accessed from an industrial estate off the main road and sits back from the main road behind railings. The other issue, which no one has any control over ,were the work men staying over who decided to have no regard for anyone else and spent half the night making noise, clapping...

"Unfortunately our first room we couldn’t open the door so we were moved to another, the 2nd room the shower did not work we were moved again to the best room in the house..the toilet cistern didn’t work. On the first 2 occcasions the staff were aware of the issues. We had breakfast and salt and pepper shakers were empty, we knew the place was old and weren’t expecting a 5 star hotel however the basics are not negotiable. All the staff were lovely and took care of these items quickly."
