"We really loved our stay at the lost iguana hotel. It’s a little bit further from the town about 35 minutes so keep that in mind if you want to be closer to downtown. It was a smaller resort overall but the grounds were stunning! "

"I really enjoyed my stay at Arenal Manoa. The view of the volcano was incredible (even though it rained most days). The staff was super friendly, helpful, and professional. The hot springs? Phenomenal. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and exactly what I needed to start my day. As a solo traveler, I never felt unsafe, and I didn’t have to worry about walking back to my room after a long day because on-site transportation was always available. My only gripe is that their airport transportation options were pricier than an Uber, which didn’t feel very reasonable. All in all, it was a great experience! "

"Overall this place was picturesque... everyone was very helpful went out of their way to make sure everything was just right. The only complaints I have, they were repairing the walkway lights, it was very dark at night, thank God I had a flashlight on my phone. But I did pass an elderly couple who are trying to find their room so I help them. Also their tools were left laying around. This is only temporary but it did kind of catch me off guard for such a great looking, well kept facility."

"As a solo traveler, I was welcomed and my needs were met from the very beginning. The owner, Juan, joined me for dinner the first night, which was welcomed and resulted in a very interesting conversation. The bungalow I was assigned was very comfortable. The farm tour is not to be missed. The included three meals per day were tasty and satisfying. The rancho and its facilities are well thought out, efficient, and highly sustainable. Truly a remarkable experience. Highly recommended (don't forget to bring and apply bug spray)."
