"A nice calm, quiet location (except for the neighbour's constantly barking dog) with a great ocean view. Contact with the owners was minimal and only electronic. Unfortunately there were a couple issues that were not shared with us when we arrived...missing keys and a stove that didn't work and at the best was dangerous to use."

"This tiny home was a perfect spot for our father/son excursion to the Big Island. It had a fully equipped kitchen which was great for preparing meals. Everything appeared to be brand new and it was immaculate. It is secluded and private and had a great screened in area with fire pit. Communication was perfect, and was needed to find the location. I'd stay here again for sure. It was a great value and very comfortable! "

"This is definitely something different from most vacation properties. Unfortunately for us, our stay corresponded with a 'kona low' rain storm and so we couldn't take full advantage of uniqueness of the property. In drier weather this could have been a lot of fun, but with constant rain it was only a step up from being stuck in a tent in the rain. The property managers were super friendly and helpful. The kitchenette is basically like camping. Don't plan on cooking much in it."

"We had a great stay at Terry's place. The location was perfect for our itinerary, and the view is divine. We loved sitting on the lanai with our morning coffee, looking out over Carlsmith Beach Park. We found everything we needed for our week on the Big Island, including a cooler to take picnic lunches with us, folding chairs that came in really handy, and snorkeling gear and beach towels. "All app check in easy. Had to call to find out the parking spot. Thought I saw in a text but couldn't find when needed. The lock box was a mystery. I didn't know the code for theor how to open it. Clearer instructions on that whould be helpful. The property manager helped me. Location was great park next door, close to restaurants and a good 2 lane road. "All staff were welcoming and helpful. It was nice having a fridge, microwave and sink to be able to eat in at times. Laundry facilities were available. I'd go for a dip in the ocean right next door and then hop into the pool. Very relaxing. Ask for a room, second floor, overlooking the pool as this gives you a nice view of the ocean as well. Very good location in Hilo "

Packed with enchanting details

"This rental made such good use of the one-acre lot - we enjoyed the mirthful pool and garden area, the garden, ocean and starlight views from an assortment of decks, lanais and gazebos. We felt like we hardly had to leave the property. But just a few minutes up the road were rocky beaches for whale-viewing, bamboo forests with waterfalls, and a cascading stream with refreshing swimming holes. Cannot wait to return to Honomu House."
