"We loved the beach cottage near the beach. The owner was responsive to our questions, and we had great weather especially for January. The location was good as it was close to Santa Cruz and about a 40 minute drive to Monterey. We'll stay here again if we're in the area!"

The fridge was huge but like the microwave, was too high for much of my family, (4 of us are under 5'2"). They even had a few board games and puzzles. Was a little disappointed the puzzle we tried was missing pieces, but it is understandable."

The highlight for us was the proximity to the beach and definitely the hot tub – it was the perfect way to unwind after a day spent exploring the beach. "The kitchen is well stocked with all the basics, including things like cooking oil and spices. The bathroom included shampoo, conditioner, and body wash (the listing doesn’t specify this). The layout is odd—the bedrooms are tiny and the beds are really crammed in there. The bathroom is huge, probably larger than the bedrooms. "The cottage used to be the public library and is very charming with pleasant outdoor patios. It is conveniently located and well designed. Everything I needed was in the cottage. Great base for a wonderful beach vacation near the marina."
