"The room was spacious and very comfortable. Actually had the bed made and clean towels. Haven’t seen that since before the pandemic. Breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Totally recommend a stay here."

"Please share this is our second time staying at this lovely hotel. We liked it so much last time we even requested the same room. And got it. It has a fireplace and it’s spacious and just lovely. Amazing water pressure in the shower, too. The area around the hotel is so convenient, and it’s so easy to get north and south from here. We went down to Big Sur in about an hour enter Carmel Valley in 15 minutes. The staff here are lovely, the spa was great, and last year we ate a nice meal at Esteban. If we had any quibbles at all, it would be with the lighting in the room. The area near the fireplace, so perfect for reading, is not well lit. Some nice sconces would be a good touch. Great spot. We’ll be back. "

"I had a great stay. What I recall the most was the valet who somehow remembered my last name when it was time for me to get my car. There's no way he would have known that in advance! Don't remember his name though. Long hair, with glasses........excellent service! Will be back soon."

"It was a nice unique hotel. The staff was wonderful when you stepped into the hotel. It seemed like you were walking into the past of a great classic movie. I have never been welcomed and treated so well upon an arrival at the hotel. The room was quaint, attractive and comfortable. Though I did upgrade the room it was a little smaller than my expectations. I would definitely stay in the same room again did I mention that it was very clean. My wonderful girlfriend is very picky and does the house cleaner test, and it met her expectations. Which is very hard to meet. I was aware of the parking situation before arrival so I was ready for the valet parking. The hotel was very close to restaurants and shopping. Plus the wharf is a short walk away. I had to get my clam chowder in a bread bowl. Brought back great memories from long ago! I can’t wait to stay here again when we visit the area soon"
