The room was as advertised and had everything needed—plates, bowls, utensils, cleaning supplies, paper towels, small refrigerator, toaster and coffee pot. Comfortable bed and TV. Electric heater for cool mornings. Big windows to the garden area. The town had a nice laundromat and a few convenience stores w the basics. Hilo is only 40min away for bigger grocery stores and more restaurants. . "

"This property and the host, Ruth, is the best VRBO we’ve stayed at. The location is rural, which is a plus for us. So quiet, peaceful and beautiful. The place is immaculate, so comfortable and she’s thought of everything to make our stay feel special. Its location to the green sand and black sand beaches, in addition to the national park and mountain cannot be beat. We loved it. "

"There were definite highs and lows to this property. The rooms were very clean and there was great entertainment options (games available to play) and lots of beds, which is what we wanted. However, we really wanted the hot tub which this property advertised, but was clearly not being uproot or available for use. There was one line in the posting, that the water is not drinkable. I applaud that this property is so green, but it was somewhat inconvenient for utilizing water. The biggest complaint...

"We always love staying at the Volcano Golf and Country Club neighborhood. Our stay here was comfortable and quiet. The hostess was kind and gracious. Future guests should be aware that the bathroom does not have a sink. The only sink is in the kitchen. This made things a bit more complicated but we adjusted."
