"We only stayed 2 nights but I wish we had booked 4 nights. The home was spotless and had absolutely everything we needed. All three beds were so comfortable (a little softer than we are use to, but so cozy). The home is decorated with so much thought, and was a wonderful place to spend time, with plenty of space for 4 adults. The location is perfect if you want easy access to the national park, which is about a 5 minute drive. Some small restaurants and shops in the small town. When we wanted more options, we drove the 40 minutes into Hilo which was an easy drive. The roads are excellent and there is so much to do in and around Hilo. We spent each morning sitting on the front lanai watching the chickens and chicks wander around the yard. There is a full coffee station stocked with coffee, tea, cocoa and everything you need which was a nice touch. Laundry with plenty of soap, plenty of towels and we loved all the blankets in each room. Thank you! Would absolutely stay again."

"The rooms are very large - I could easily have slept in the walk-in closet - and the kitchen on site was very convenient. The hotel is set back quite a ways from the road and the site is quiet. The owner was lovely and let me borrow a garden hose after our rental car got covered in volcano debris - very much appreciated, and definitely above and beyond!"

"Lolahi Lodge exceeded my expectations in every way! Great rooms, comfortable bed, really nice towels, lots of little touches. I highly recommend this as a place to stay while visiting Hawaiian Volcanoes National Park. So close to the entrance. And a wonderful place to end up after a long day of hiking!"
