"Truly an amazing experience - beautiful remote property that’s walking distance to Black Sands Beach - plenty of sea turtles and just gorgeous views with next to no one around. Highly recommend grocery shopping before going and cooking most of your meals. However there are great food truck options nearby - AMA’s kitchen and Encanto were our favorites. Bedding was super comfortable and the Murphy bed was perfect for our 3 year old and the view from our balcony was of the beach and a nice way to start our morning. Staff was super friendly and they have chairs to rent, rice cooker, towels etc that made it super convenient. 10/10 would stay again!"

"Pahala is small town with country life. Sea Colony 1 is an isolated complex overlooking a lava beach area. Unit 16 is a two story unit in wonderful location overlooking far off surf and sea grass frisbee course. Nice lawn, close to pool and hot tub, pretty sunrises and moonscapes. It is so quiet. We had packed adequate groceries for 4 days, since condo is in country. Black sand beach was close enough to walk and provided simple snorkeling and lunch. We only missed having A/C and were hot in January, especially late night upstairs when the ocean breezes lessen. We enjoyed our stay between Hilo, Volcanoes National Park and busy Kona. Good appliances, great washer and dryer. Lots of nice towels."

"Perfect place if you love National Parks, hiking, nature and relaxing. EXACTLY as described and the added information with things to do, absolutely on point.Bonus: Seeing turtles every single day with just a short walk to the black sand beach. Great way to spend our 25th anniversary! "

"The location was amazing! The pool and hot tub were wonderful. The condo itself needed maintenance. Some of the dishes in the cabinets were not cleaned and the main kitchen utensil drawer was missing a knob. The bedroom door would not stay shut as the louver doors did not stay on the track, the back porch was wonderful but needs four chairs not just two. We liked that they had several fans in the unit and chairs and umbrella for the beach. Check-in was easy.. "

"Sufficiently comfortable and central to our hiking adventures. Warm. Thankful for the fans but maybe need about four more. It was lovely sitting on lanai in the evening. Too hot in the direct sun in the morning and the retractable blind cannot be secured and so it just whacks you. We did enjoy our stay and the evening views from the lanai. Thanks!"
