"The house lived up to the photos. Clean, comfortable, necessities provided. It's a bit out of the way, which we wanted. You will need a car. The road is a little rough, but many roads are in Costa Rica.Beautiful, quiet black sands beach that is considered one of the cleanest in the world."

"Enjoyed everything about this beautiful Villaesque lodging with its lush botanical walled grounds. Plenty of birds, hummingbirds everyday and other daily visits from a plethora of winged visitors to the pool's waterfall. Monkeys, a colorful squirrel and 2 cats passed through as well. The property is a brief walk along a shaded trail to the beach. "

"The pictures don't do this place justice. The condo is nicely appointed and the view from the living room and front porch are just gorgeous; we loved waking up to it each morning. Check in and out was super easy and the location at Junquillal is really charming. Wouldn't of hanged a thing!"

"We have had the privilege to travel to a lot of fun vacation spots and stay in some nice houses, but Castillo Del Mar blows the rest away! Our first trip to Costa Rica could not have been better. Family of five with three teenagers.It didn't seem possible but the property truly is better than advertised. The views are amazing, especially from the roof top with its 360 degree views of ocean, mountains and forest. From the house we saw horses, monkeys, iguanas and all kinds of awesome birds.The house is appointed with everything you will need. Very spacious. Extremely clean. The A/C was great. Very comfortable beds. Fast, reliable internet. Very safe neighborhood. The pool was very clean and nice. You will not believe how nice the shaded rooftop is! It's just a beautifully designed, comfortable house. The house location is remote and very quiet, very few tourists (which we wanted and loved). There are several good restaurants and coffee shops within a 10 minute drive.The beach in front of the house is rocky but when the tide goes out this provides hours of tidal pool exploring fun. Be sure you take snorkel gear, it's a blast here! You can walk 10 minutes (or shorter drive) to a traditional "sandy" beach with no rocks. The communication by Jarrod and team was so helpful throughout. They kindly answered my many questions pre-trip and quickly responded with questions/needs during the trip. Outstanding service!! Truly paradise. We cannot wait to return!"
