"Overall, a peaceful escape from the city. This is a great place to stay for hiking, nature walks, bouldering and river activities. It's near the station and some bus stops too. I really enjoyed the view from the window. The kitchen is small and there is only a microwave, but it was enough for me. "Very spacious room. Hotel is clean and well kept. BONUS, you have a view of Mt. Fuji from your Balcony. The shops around the area are pricy but a 5 min walk will get you to the more affordable shops. Its close to the train station, I suggest using the overpass as it connects to everything. Tachikawa is underrated location, Its location is central to Tokyo and Day trip areas. "

"The property is a bit tired but the staff are pleasant and doing the best they can with what they've got. Breakfast was Japanese style and pretty tastey. Not real close to the train station so if that's important then this might not be the best choice."

"Very convenient location, close to Hachioji station and shops. My room was modern and comfortable with a large, comfortable queen bed. This is Tokyo, so the bed took up most of the room, but there was also a desk and a large window ledge where the TV, glasses and tea kettle were placed. The staff were friendly and helpful and I felt very welcome and safe here."

"I stayed with R&B Hachioji for 1 night. In my short stay, it is a clean and convenient place, with easy access to the nearby Keio-Hachioji and the main Hachioji station, both are within walkable distances of 3 and 8 minutes respectively. For a reasonable price, u get a comfortable bed, an en-suite shower and boiling kettle. Highly recommended!"

"The hot water pressure was so low that it sputtered a lot. There was barely enough water to take a comfortable shower. The power outlet located at the bottom of the desk was loose and I inadvertently pulled it out of the desk when unplugging my laptop. Very dangerous. Probably one of my worse APA experiences, and I normally love APA. Have stayed, cumulatively, many months at APA. Never at this one again."

Outstanding Tokyo hotel - highly recommended

"Absolutely sensational hotel in Tokyo. Amazingly helpful and responsive staff who went out of their way to make our staff memorable. Hotel is immaculate both in and out, and the room was kept to the highest order by the housekeeping tea.. We had an executive room with access to the relevant lounge. Lounge was split into two was quiet and coffee, drinks and snacks plentiful all day. Evening snacks and drinks were superb and included branded alcohol drinks. The lounge was very busy on the weekend but the staff managed numbers incredibly well. The lounge concierge service was outstanding, they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Due to the Heathrow closure the staff did all they could do to accommodate us having a later checkout and lounge access which was beyond what could have been expected. They were even able to advise on airport transfers including the executive bus transfer service which is hourly and very cost effective ie 1400 tempo to transfer to the airport Hotel has a shuttle to a shopping area which is provided free of charge"

"It was really close to the Metro Government Building and 10 minute walk to Shinjuku station. You could also walk underground to the station if it’s raining outside but it took us 3 days to figure out how to walk back to the hotel underground. Last day, we finally figured it out. The twin beds room was small and we couldn’t open our luggage on the floor. We had to put it on our bed to get to our luggages. We were only there 5 days so it was fine just for sleep. Very clean, staff spoke English, very helpful and friendly. The area was great and close to everything. "

"I was a little nervous to stay here because my stay was five nights and I was staying by myself as twenty year old woman, but I really liked it here and felt safe! My top concerns were if there was a curfew (I planned on staying out late some nights)—there wasn’t, you could reenter at any time during your stay—and locker size. You get a locker that has enough room for a standard carry on (not suitcase but I believe they’ll store that for you) and multiple other smaller bags and a separate top compartment for shoes. The toilets were private with communal sinks and the showers were private and clean with enough room to get changed inside. My only advice is to not use the washer/dryer, as my clothes are still damp after washing them two days ago. Overall, highly recommend! "
