"We were a family of 9 adults and every single person in our group talked about how impressed we all were with this hotel. The location, the food, the cleanliness, the amenities, the atmosphere, the decor - almost everything was 5 star. The only thing I would change is the mattress - it was uncomfortable and every time my husband or I moved the whole mattress would wobble. The waitstaff working at the function we attended definitely need more training about how to talk to each other in front of the guests. But that's negligible. I would stay at the Monterey Plaza Hotel and Spa again and again. It is excellent."

The breakfast is literally the best we have ever had anywhere in the world and that is not an exaggeration! "Towels had stains, Bug in the room, felt very UNSAFE in the parking lot parking there, guys drinking Beers at 9:35 PM in the parking lot. Expedia rating 8.0 good is misleading evaluation, Staff are great and friendly, BUT HOTEL PRIC IS NOT WORTH THE PRICE, no more Motel 6 period."
