"Jamie, the onsite manager was a true gem. She upgraded us twice with no change in our original price and she was very welcoming!! We got room 214, which is their 2-story suite and it was well turned out and had lots of space, with 2 extra beds and rooms. Jamie spoke with us about the area and hotel and made sure we had everything we needed. The other staff members took time to make sure we were taken care of and spoke with us about the history of the hotel. Not to be forgotten were the Tavern...

"The staff was great. We especially loved the shuttle that would take us anywhere we wanted to go within a 3-mile radius. It took a lot of pressure off of us by not having to constantly look for places to park. The hotel is in a great location for access to all sorts of fun things to do."

"The Steele Mansion is a really special spot. I love its history and its genesis: it has its roots in the city's foundations and is linked with Lake Erie College across the street. Eventually it got sold, went into rentals, then vacancy. The owners have lovingly restored it from a shell to a gorgeous, pristine and comfortable place to stay."

"Nice hotel. The shower in our room wasn't level so water ran out onto the floor, but not a big deal. It all looks very nice. The lighting in the room was cool. "
