"Finding myself on my own for the holidays, I decided to make a short trip to Mendocino, and area that I love. I checked in on Christmas Eve, and stayed for two days. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I was pleased to have a fireplace, sitting area, small refrigerator and coffee maker. The receptionist at the front (I wish I could remember her name) was incredibly helpful in advising me which places would hold Christmas Eve services, and made sure I had anything I needed. "Gorgeous historic inn with beautiful warm sitting rooms on the first floor with games, a roaring fireplace, and relaxing music. Food can be ordered from the in-house pub to this room as well, or eaten in the pub or dining room, which are both beautifully decked out as well. Rooms have delightful victorian decoration and vintage character. This was a fantastic refresh after having stayed in soulless contemporary hotels for all of my last stays."
