"Overnight meet up in Lancaster but this hotel was absolutely perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful - we had a problem with our remote control and were offered several options to help, including the offer of a different room to see if the TV was any better there. 5min walk to station. 2min walk to castle. Central location for town with a selection of eateries. Beds were extremely comfortable. Possibly some more hooks in the room would be useful to hang coats. Also hook on bathroom door would be handy The hotel is obviously of its age and clearly has a lot of history so it might seem a little dated but it was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Not sure how much use the Crypt (downstairs bar) gets but it would make a great spa!! All in all a really lovely stay. . "

"We had a lovely stay at the hotel. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The pool was fantastic for children and open from 7-7. A lovely touch to have a child’s welcome pack. The duck food was a lovely idea too and our daughter really enjoyed it. A great base to explore with the aquarium, steam boat and steam train on the doorstep. About to 10-20mins from other shops. "

"Lovely place, lodge was clean, had everything you would need, over looking the lake, space for parking car too, we went swimming which was great, took the kids in the games room which they enjoyed, had two meals in the Restaurant, they were lovely and you get alot, we had a nice two break and very relaxing."

"For the price we paid for two adults and two children for a night's stay the accommodation was perfect. Arrived early and our room was already ready for us, staff really good, entertainment in main bar good. Would definitely recommend hotel to anyone and as we've been before would definitely return ourselves."

"Great stay for one night in the half term break. The guy who checked us in was great, saw my struggle with the vast amount of stairs (i have a dodgy knee) he moved us to a first floor room instead of second floor! Room was clean and tidy, seemed to be newly decorated with new furniture! Great view across the sea, and even though it was on the front the noise from traffic wasn't too bad. Just a few things that could do with a little look in to are the curtains, don't hang properly and let light in! The shower is scalding hot and takes a minute to sort it whilst getting roasted! Kettle should be emptied between guests and the most important is have a mattress protector and decent pillows on the bed. Food in the bar below the rooms was great, no issue there at all! For £81 it was great value!"

"Holiday Inn is literally next door to Blackpool North train Station. Additionally you can catch a tram right along the sea front right outside, so a well connected location. The warm welcome received (Molly was lovely) coupled with the quality, clean rooms with really comfy beds and great facilities added up to a great stay. "
