"We spent three nights and had a great time. The house is just as described in the listing. The host was very responsive. The location is right on the road into La Fortuna so everything was very convenient. There is a lovely creek just beyond the back yard providing the chance of spotting birds or even monkeys. Mary's Place is less than a half-kilometer up the road and a great place for happy hour and/or a meal. For fun while you're in the area, we highly recommend a whitewater rafting trip...

"I stayed with my family in this property from Monday to Friday. I love that is surrounded by trees and is so quiet at night. I also loved the location; it was very close to the town and lots of things to do. Being in the clouds forest we had lots of condensation and sometimes the floor would get wet, nothing a mop wouldn’t fix if you don’t mind. "The house was everything you needed; cozy, quaint, stunning views, gorgeous landscaping and privacy. It accommodated everything we needed, which was surprising because we failed to realize there was no central air, and we have a ln 11 month old, but the area we were in stayed relatively cool, and even better at night (nice & cool) and they provided multiple fans to circulate the air. "This condo is just as advertised. It is in a beautiful spot with a view of Arenal volcano from the bedroom and a forest view from other rooms. There are windows everywhere but no other houses close enough that they could see into the unit. The air conditioner works well. It is not a newly renovated condo but was clean and comfortable. We didn't find it on the first try but the host was very responsive and helpful and got us there quickly."

"Friendly owner on site who showed us all the plants on his property. Allowed our kids to squeeze sugar cane and make cane juice one morning. Clean and easy property. "

"real hard to find. Name is not on entrance, directions lacking. Even neighbor did not know of the place/owner. Only thing with hot water was shower and it was mickey mouse (no directions on how to use it.) When you flush toilet there is an awful loud noise and it backs up into kitchen sink. No hot tub as per info on web site. No ventilation in bath so it fogs up bad. Privacy is a problem-curtains do NOT cover properly. There is construction next door. ...

"The host is wonderful! A few fresh fruits, snacks and waters welcomed up when we checked in. She was so prompt on getting back to us quickly. The property is up on a hill and we got many opportunities to sit out back enjoying the volcano view. The property has its own private gate to pull car in at night. I can't say enough about the view!"

"Absolutely adorable cabins with the necessities to make your own meals if you desire. The employees were so helpful and nice. We felt like we were at summer camp, in the best way possible. In my opinion, this was way better than any hotel. "

"The hotel is well located. Area is beautiful and well maintained. Pools are amazing. Pool bar is exceptionnal. Maybe more attention on the rooms...small renewals could improve our general feedback (no water at a moment, bath in bad shape). Staff is exceptionnal."

"Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay at Hotel El Silencio del Campo in a family cabin. There was tons of space in the room, and lots of towels and amenities in the room. It rained our entire visit so we especially enjoyed using the thermal pools. The breakfast was nice though we would have liked a few more options to choose from. The highlight was the staff! While everyone from housekeeping to the serving staff was fantastic, we wanted to shout out Elio at the front reception who provided exceptional customer service. We would stay here again and would recommend to our friends and family."

Amazing experience for half the price of resorts

"This place was INCREDIBLE. The views were stunning and there is a 15 minute walking trail that makes you feel like youre in the middle of the jungle. Staff was very friendly and the food at the restaurant delicious. The mineral pools were only have full but it was nice and were included in the stay. Id skip the more expensive resorts and go here for a quaint but still top teir cabin lodging experience. "
