"It’s an economical hotel with basic amenities. However, for what it is, it does a great job. The hotel is older with tons of character. Despite that, it is very maintained. I wish hotels in the US could follow their strategy. Basic in my home country (USA) usually means dirty and unkept. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Note that front desk has limited hours. The hotel is in an ideal location. It’s a safe area with a lot going on nearby. It’s a 15-20 minute walk from the main Florence train station (Santa Maria Novella). The Duomo is about the same distance. The Ponte Vecchio is about 8-10 minute walk. I would stay at this hotel again with zero reservations. "

"Very clean and nice property. We mostly wanted to have good sleep at this point in our trip, and the hotel delivered with good blackout curtains and a quiet environment. It is too far to walk to the town center however so you must be prepared to either coordinate your itinerary with the hotel shuttle, or take cabs"
