"The room is spacious. No elevator, it's can be tough to carry heavy luggage up and down. There's only public bath, no private shower. It's a quiet area, most stores and restaurants are closed after 5 pm, and before 9 am. Short distance from buses, but a bit challenging for walking with luggage, and good luck if you can find a taxi in the area. "

"The in-room mineral bath was so rejuvenating. The shuttle service to near-by train stations was convenient. The meals were “out of this world” scrumptious and unique to Japan salmon, tuna, barracuda, etc). The staff were kind and gracious (and busy). This place is a gem! If I ever find my way back to this area, I will definitely return!"

"The staff were amazing and extremely helpful. Provided what we needed at request. We wish was that in them knowing we had a vehicle, that they were able to direct us to a nearby parking lot with affordable pricing. The signs are confusing at times. We ended up paying ¥3400 the first night for overnight parking and ¥6100 the second night in the nearby lots. Other than that, the room was clean except a little black mold near the AC unit. Deep. cleaning could be better. Happy with our 2 night stay...

"the room was very tidy and welcoming. the host was so kind and courteous and made us feel very at home. i wish we could have stayed longer! the lodging is quiet and peaceful. i will definitely return here when i have the chance. thank you for the lovely memories!!! the view of fuji on a clear day is out of this world. "This is function more like BnB than an actual hotel. The check in was confusing, staff were non existence, there is only one bus line that run every 30min, and completely stop about 8pm. The sidewalk is narrow and share the same road as cars, it's especially dangerous at home with limited views. There are no diner nearby and everything closes at around 6pm. "

"The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and had a lovely rustic atmosphere. The amenities were good, and the staff was very friendly and spoke great English. The private hot spring was easy to book a time slot for, and was very relaxing. "Well decorated, but the bathroom wasn’t clean, Onsen was burning hot, washing machine didn’t work, they have a book of rules, and I got locked out at 9:25PM. I rarely write bad reviews, but this place was not good."

"Positives: - The owner is a kind, sweet old man who treats you like a guest in his own house. - The rooms are large, with the -02 rooms being especially large - The -01 rooms come with a view towards the ocean (though not exactly an ocean view) through large windows, with blackout curtains. - The beds and pillows are comfortable, even by Western hotel standards - The rooms seem to have been recently renovated, and are cleaned well. "An absolutely beautiful hotel, the staff were very welcoming and polite. Their service was exceptional. The luxurious room with private onsen was a wonderful unique experience. The room, furniture and bathroom were in great condition. We would definitely come back! "

"A true traditional ryokan experience. The feel and service of all the amentities was superb. We were worried about the food as it was very unique. However all of it exceeded expectations. All the food was worth trying and had such an earthy feel to it. The service of the staff members were impeccable. Very kind and helpful. The place is little far to get to. So recommend calling ahead for shuttle service from the ryokan. Highly recommended."

"This was our stay in the Tokyo - Kyoto route and I must say that that night was the rest that I need. This hotel is awesome and a totally battery charger. I stay for 1 night and enjoy all the free activities. For the ones like me that got tattoos there are private onsen baths that you can use and are really worth it. "

"This was probably the most amazing experience I have ever had! The highlight of my partner and I’s trip to Japan. The staff went above and beyond amazing, the food was the best I have probably ever eaten, and the private onsen and room were perfect. I cannot recommend this unique and perfect experience enough. I wish we booked another night and when we come back to Japan, I will prioritize staying again. Literally a perfect experience with amazing staff - thank you so much! "
