"Room was comfortable. No view from room. Pretty area with gardens around walkways. Not a lot of outside seating areas. Most rooms are a walk uphill a ways. Not many have close parking. Trails uphill behind resort. 4x4 drive to upper parking was in good shape and looked good enough for 2 wheel when dry. Dining was fine, with good service. "I had an amazing stay! The apartment was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The view from the terrace was absolutely breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making our stay even more enjoyable. One of the highlights was the two toucans that visited us in the morning. They were flying around, perching on the trees, and watching us while we relaxed on the terrace. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and unique getaway! "

"This was my second visit one of the best hotels in the Savegre Valley for birders. The accommodations are excellent (including heating in the rooms & hot showers!), with the mountain-view villas being especially good for birders. A major bonus is a wonderful bird-feeding area attracting lots of hummingbirds & frugivores. Spring Break Getaway

"Villa Los Aires is simply breathtaking! Esteban was outstanding as were the housekeeper and the cook. The main concierge was hands off and really left most of the heavy lifting to the staff on site who stepped up and showed us an amazing time! All three of them took great care of us showed us all the wonders that Costa Rica had to offer on the property… the river, the waterfalls, and all of the amazing creatures of nature. Even when some of the group wasn’t feeling great Esteban stepped in to make sure our needs were met, and everybody was on the mend. I highly recommend the property and its staff if you want I truly amazing stay. A couple items of note: the road to the villa is quite mountainous so if you are someone who suffers from motion sickness, be prepared. Also, hot water is sometimes not abundant in the showers, but with the heat and humidity, the cooler showers were often welcomed. "

Incredible Ocean Views, Private Pool, Fully Equipped Villa in a Gated Community

Absolutely loved the stay

"The villa was perfect for our week stay in CR. Myself, my husband and our six year old had a great time at the house. The pool and the daily visits from the coati were the highlights. The pool was even warm enough for me. Our typical day was to head out early to town or the beach and come back in the afternoon to enjoy the house and views! Going up and down the road twice a day was the nost I'd recommend but I think ny husband would have no issue with more trips a day. The house and views were worth the drive. Oscar was very helpful checking us into the property when we arrived after dark. He was also great recommending a restaurant for fish tacos and meeting us after we left an item behind at the villa after check out. We highly recommend and hope to come back again!"

Magical, Hidden & Pristine

"We just left paradise! Casa Seabreeze was home to our two families for the week and we were blown away. The drive is no joke- a 4wd vehicle is a must, and it adds to the adventure! We would have been happy just laying in the infinity pool watching the monkeys swing in every day. Short drive to Dominical beach, and we also had a chef cook fish tacos one night that were amazing. "

Eco-Home At One with Nature - Total Privacy, Mobility Friendly

A Very Special Place

"My girlfriend and I recently spent a week at "Refugio Madreselva". All expectations were exceeded. It's an easy 3.5 hour drive from SJO. You really do need a 4x4 to get up the driveway, go slow and steady, not bad at all. The pool and subsequent views of the valley below were the highlight. House and property were well manicured / landscaped. Carolina greeted us with breakfast each morning - she and her husband (groundskeeper) are amazing. I mentioned to Carolina that it was my GF's birthday during the trip. The next day she stopped by with the best tres leches cake I have ever tasted. So thoughtful.I would highly recommend a 20 min drive to Ojachal for a few dinners - great food. We will be back - this is a special place!!! "
