"The service was awesome, the place has so many beautiful flowers and plants its a very happy place. The room i stayed in was a disappointment, no air circulation (no fan nor AC). The temperature outside was nice and cool, but the room does not have good circulation. No blackout curtains, so you wake up early, if you want to or not."

"This lodge is a hidden gem. The food at the restaurant was a little hit and miss, but everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming. Greivin went out of his way to help in any way he could and he also leads the excellent Quetzal tours every morning!! Great stay!!"

"You can easily walk to some local trails and other hotel restaurants. This hotel was a gem! We loved our room, the walls are a little thin but we only shared with one neighbor. Beds were very comfy and had lots of pillows and wall plugs. Staff were pretty friendly, our only “poor” interaction was when we showed up at 8:30 am after a morning hike and were told the breakfast ends at 9 am and made a little fuss over us arriving at 8:30. We were at the end of our Panama/Costa Rica trip and had actually just decided to cut it short because I was starting to feel sick. But we had this last hike to try out and I was just hoping both that I would feel well enough and also that our car would be able to make it back on the very steep gravel road back from the parking spot (after almost getting stuck around Monteverde earlier on the trip). As we’ve been getting used to we were first to arrive so we had this awesome place completely to ourselves for a little while in the morning before other tourists started to drop in. It really felt like a fairytale.

"Our stay at Villa Ambiente was absolutely wonderful! There was a group of us celebrating my birthday and it was the perfect place to stay! From the moment I first chatted with Patricia, until the very end, she was so helpful, responsive, and kind! All of her referrals for the chef, Chef Pedro, to the massages by Angelica, so the adventures we took, were spot on! The house is just as pictured and the location is great!every person who stayed at the Villa left feeling extremely satisfied and full of happiness. We will stay here again! Many thanks to Patricia( Chef Pedro and Angelica!"

Amazing Property

"This was a family trip with our 6 adult children and our 2.5 year old granddaughter. Each couple had their own suite with a bathroom. There are many areas in the house to relax and enjoy private space. We loved seeing monkeys, agouti, toucan right outside our home. The caretakers were top notch."

"My fiancé and I enjoyed a relaxing week at this hotel. It's very close to town and they have great recommendations for activities around the area or a little outside the town of Uvita. The staff was absolutely fantastic! Paolo went out of his way to make our experience memorable and made us feel right at home. Definitely staying here on our next visit! "

"We loved our time at Portasal Living. The villa was amazing, with lots of space and the pool was amazing for a dip every day.. From seeing toucans and parrots right before us to the amazing dinner by our private chef Desiree, it was such a great time. Heriberto was great in getting our tour and trip tickets for all the sights. They even greeted us with a Bottle of wine for our anniversary. They also stocked the fridge with cold beer for us to have when we arrived. We are already talking about a return trip!!!"

"This is a piece of heaven on earth!! Peggy answered every question we had and gave us extra tips as well! Trina and Jorge were amazing and even (for a small fee) picked up some groceries for us and had those for us upon arrival! The villa is absolutely gorgeous and well appointed with everything you could possibly need! We are anxious to return!! "
