"Beautiful hotel, everything spotlessly clean. Restaurant excellent but what really makes it an outstanding place is the service from every member of staff. I travel for a living and can tell you that this is rare these days. Every staff member we encountered was warm, friendly and welcoming, no pretentiousness either. Highly recommend! Only slight criticism I have is that the bar and restaurant were quite cold when we were there but that’s a matter of opinion (we do feel the cold more than most)."

"Our 1st time at this hotel. We had a lovely 1 night stay. The staff were very friendly, room was lovely. We ate in the restaurant on the night and the food was excellent. We will definitely return."

"We had a lovely couple of nights stay, it was very peaceful and secluded at the cabin which was perfect. We were pretty much left to our own devices which was quite nice, although we knew the wardens were on site if anything was needed. Lovely set of amenities provided so we were able to cook for ourselves. Only things I would request more of were a sponge for washing dishes (dish soap provided but no way to clean the dishes so we bought our own), and also some extra loo rolls! We ran out on our final morning, we were given one roll and a few sheets on a spare in the cupboard. Whilst we could have asked for more if we had time, this might have been easier to just have a full spare roll in the cabin to begin with. The bed was very comfy and it was nice to pull the sofa bed out as well to put our feet up (although we did find a previous guest’s crochet needle in the sofa bed so perhaps a more thorough check over is needed between guests). The guest book was a lovely touch and we enjoyed writing our experiences in it and reading those of previous guests. Overall a lovely stay and we are already planning on returning! Thank you"
