"We were upgraded to a waterfront suite when I mentioned that my wonderful daughter with a high level of needs and autism could be enthusiastic and maybe a little loud for neighbors. I think they send a lot of the family over to the waterfront suites? This was a nice upgrade because it had a balcony view of the marina and I didn't mind that my daughter could be loud. Speaking of loud, it was not my daughter that was so loud. It was the sound of the traffic outside the door all night long. We could hear sirens and traffic and there was a wedding going on when we stayed there so we also got to hear the noise of the celebration. Thankfully I always pack ear plugs! They were kind enough to provide extra pillows. When I asked about room service they said they do not have it. This made me sad because mobility is limited with my daughter and we had to walk quite a distance to the lobby, most people would only find it to be about a 2-minute walk, but it took a while for us. When I ordered Uber Eats I was trying to get it delivered to the door and they delivered to the lobby. I called the lobby and explained that they do not offer room service and it would take us a while to get there and if they would hold on to it. And by the time I got my daughter's shoes on, there was a knock at my door delivering the food we ordered. That was really nice service and totally made our morning before SeaWorld that much better. The service at this hotel is wonderful. They are accommodating."

"This is the second time we have stayed here with our dogs. They have a specific dog floor with great views!!! Super easy/convenient walking to downtown San Diego and right next Seaport Village. We love this hotel!!!"

"Great family resort. Lots to do with your children. The pools are heated and easy access to the beach. Basket ball court was great for our son. I definitely will go again. The only negative was the 50.00 dollar a day parking fee. "

"My stay at the historic Horton Grand in San Diego was unmatched in excellence. Located in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter, it is an easy walk to Petco Park, the Children's Museum, the USS Midway, and many dining and nightlife options. It is staffed by very friendly and helpful people who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our room was in the fourth floor and overlooked the courtyard whose trees were illuminated nightly. This hotel includes many antique furnishings, including pianos, organs, and divans from the nineteenth century in the lounge areas on each floor. Many famous people have stayed and even lived there, such as Wyatt Earp, Tom Mix, and Jackie Coogan, to say nothing of modern times. The best part is that the building is haunted! Eyewitnesses have testified that they have seen apparitions descending the ancient wooden balustraded staircases, and a room on the third floor is said to house its own ghost! While walking around the building we felt the presence of otherworldly beings and are excited to go back and hopefully make contact. 10/10 would stay again!"
