"Great place"

"For a 4 star hotel this was appalling. During our 3 night stay we didn’t see one member of hotel staff. No reception (self checkin & out) room was dirty I had to clean the toilet when we arrived and the cups but there was no one to tell. Rang reception several times no one picks up. Went down whole area in darkness. You would have thought the hotel was closed. Dinning room closed breakfast in attached bistro, thank goodness this was lovely. "

"Lovely hotel in perfect location for the train station. Dinners were fantastic and breakfast was good. We had no hot water on second morning and heating failed during the night. When we advised we had no hot water it was dismissed as “yes we know”. "

"We can’t say enough about our stay here. The owners were two of the most hospitable hosts we’ve ever had. It felt like we were friends who had come for a visit after not seeing each other for many years. Food was great! The room was sweet and comfortable. We loved our stay and will plan on returning when we’re next ‘across the pond.’ When we were leaving, the owner came hurrying out to wave goodbye to us as we were pulling out of the driveway. That’s a first for us! "
