"Everything was great with the hotel, except the bed. That is why it lost a star. The mattress was terrible and we could not sleep well. The staff is welcoming, happy and kind. Location was excellent for food and shopping and food was great too. The beach is ok. Ugly, actually. No trees and with an infinite line of umbrellas as far you can see. you pay ~€30 for the day. And it’s unbearably hot in August, day and night. If you are vacationing from abroad , like me, there are better prettier...

"We were able to find street parking within a block of the hotel. Close to the beach, but not on it so it's quiet and not crazy busy on the beach. The beach is just 2 blocks, it's really a wide boardwalk with lots of shops, cafes, fine dinning, etc. The beaches (Lidos) are private where you get a umbrella and beach chair (w/ sun shield for your head) for a fee. "Room was air-conditioned, spacious, clean and the bed was enormous and comfortable. Food was superb. Being in middle age, we could cope with the stairs. People with disabilities will need to book a ground floor room as there is no lift. We borrowed the (free) bicycles to get to the railway station. The best of Pisa.

"We were so impressed by this hotel. I was a complete pain about getting the right room so that our 3 year old would get a good nights sleep and they treated me with such grace and good humour. The rooms were very nice, we had 2 as we were travelling with family too. The breakfast was good, wake up calls were made and cabs ordered. Great advice about the area was given. They were so helpful with even supplying spare batteries for a family members medical equipment. Such a friendly hotel and it is minutes from the tower which is great if you are travelling with small children. We would not hesitate to stay there again. "
