"We arrived on a Thursday and found it very difficult to find reservation to any restaurant of quality near the hotel. If you are coming to this central area from Thursday to Sunday night make sure to have dinner reservations from 2PM till 10 PM! The hotel’s bar was so crowded with non staying guest, we were unable to enjoy this amenity."

"The hotel is in a great location, easy to walk to so many attractions. Our room was great too. Nice and quiet and our son loved the size of the sofa bed. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there were so many options within walking distance. Got a taxi from airport to the hotel and back - we pre-booked ours but there were plenty available so I don't think that was necessary. Would definitely stay here again."

"Fabulous location on the royal mile with onsite parking at a reasonable price. Reception staff were fantastic, and our room was comfortable, a good size and had everything we needed. Didn’t use the bar and hadn’t booked for breakfast as it’s so close to many coffee shops. We got a good price as booked out of season and couldn’t fault the hotel. Would definitely choose this place again over other places we’ve stayed at in Edinburgh. "

"You will not be disappointed! First class service and friendly professional staff. Good central location. If you can book the Club Floor you’ll have a full complimentary breakfast each morning and a 4:00 to 7:00 happy hour with comp drinks and snacks. Well worth the extra for the Club floor. "

"Stayed at hotel for a random one night weekend family get away. I read the usual reviews prior to booking which was enough for me to take a chance. I must say, the hotel did not disapoint, the staff were friendly, hotel clean and the grounds were gorgeous. When you travel with children it can often feel like your in the way of other hotel guests, especially couples who are wanting that romantic trip away. What stood out for me was that we didnt feel in the way, maybe it was the size of the hotel, layout or just how it was ran but the staff and guests were all so nice, the children were welcomed and the pool area was the biggest hit! We originally booked a double family room but were offered an upgrade (for a 40 pound fee, to be paid on arrival) to a junior suite which we went for, the room was massive with a living room for kids to run around in and a super king bed however the 2nd bed was a sofa bed, the orginal booking had two double beds. I think next time we would probably go smaller and keep the double family room but use the extra money to pay for two nights. As I type im trying to think of areas for improvement but in all honesty nothing springs to mind right now, the kids were sad to leave so for me thats the biggest indicator of a decent hotel, no stressed parents and happy children. Were already thinking of re-booking for easter. "
