"This is one of my favorite houses in Newport - and I’ve stayed in a lot. The property manager was quick to respond and check in and out was simple. The house was updated, very clean and spacious! Location is perfect! Will definitely stay here again! "

"Nothing but great stuff to say about the property quality and location in regards to proximity to beach, newport bike trail and some shops with food and drinks. Host was responsive and helpful. Only draw back is Newport parking and lack of, but most prople staying here will know this and be ready and willing to deal with it. We found parking both times we moved our vehicle with in 4 blocks."

"We had so much fun. I wish the dishwasher was working and I did not realize this was a shared unit. Also the freezer barely opened and was very loud. Other than that though, we would stay here again and hope to soon! "

"We have stayed on Balboa many times at many different properties, and we enjoyed our stay at this property. The location is perfect and super convenient for walking to the ferry and downtown. The bikes were an awesome perk we used daily to explore, and the separate suite up top was perfect for our stay with two families. Overall our stay was great and I'm looking forward to returning in the future. "

"We had a great stay! Great location, great home for a small group. The patio is really nice that it’s closed in and accommodating. Really nice that they provide beach chairs, sand toys, and umbrella. The only thing I wished is that they had a larger sofa to accommodate more comfortable seating inside the house for a movie night. Overall really great place, I would stay there again. "

"The Blue Door Cottage is perfectly appointed. The rooms are cozy and all filled with personal touches. Pete is so easy to reach and communicate with via text or email too. We were welcomed with a wonderful selection of cheese, crackers, wines, and sparkling water. The local Night Heron visits our tree on the patio during the day and adds to our alfresco meals. We cannot wait to return. This is a gem. The cottage is located near everything in this quaint town. Thanks again Pete for...

"We really enjoyed our stay in this cute little house. The location, the home, and the amenities were all great. The only thing that we did not enjoy was the mattress. We slept terrible, it was so lumpy. I've honestly never slept on a worse mattress in my life. An upgrade to the mattress is definitely needed. "

"Dave's house is a no frills home in a perfect location. The listing pictures are accurate. The home needs some maintenance and should get rid of the carpet, but I can overlook that for the price and the area. It's only one home from the beach and you can hear the waves from the large patio. It is walking/biking distance to the pier, restaurants (Zabb Thai lunch special!), grocery store, donuts, coffee, etc. It's an easy bike ride to Huntington Beach. The area is pretty quiet. "This house is as described. The location is beautiful. The house is dated but it didn’t bother us as we expected it from past reviews. Kitchen could use some additional provisions. This was not an issue for us in October but the house does not have A/C. We would stay again but would shop knowing what to expect "

"I had a wonderful stay at this Newport Beach apartment, located just steps from both the water and the pier. The view was fantastic, offering a perfect coastal experience. I also had the chance to meet the owner, who was very pleasant and welcoming. Overall, a great experience, and I would definitely stay here again!"

"We loved the delightful accommodations at Rory and Tim's 2-story place. It was just steps from the beach in Newport ! All of the beds were extremely comfortable and the house was very clean. Our group loved the well-appointed kitchens and outside patio for breakfast! I am hoping to talk my extended family into renting this very fun place for a vacation experience together someday soon . . . "
