For a driving trip, really liked the location. Good parking, easy access to best roads for exploring the Lake District. Bathroom has a deep soaker tub/shower: lovely on a hiking trip! "Travelling with family seeing the local area and this hotel hit the spot straight off the M6 and local to all tourist destinations. Great welcome at reception and given our key to the room. First impression was clean and tidy. Great views from the window but once we had looked around you could see aging signs of west and tear. Marks on work tops and mould around the mirror and bathroom. The beds were clean and comfy and its very quiet location. Hopefully it gets a bit of money spent on it before...

"What a fabulous place and just a couple of miles out of Windermere. The Inn has a great atmosphere and the speciality ales are just what you need after along day of hiking. The rooms are great, superclean and very comfortable. To top it all, the cooked breakfasts in the morning were both hearty and delicious. Thr staff were also super helpful too. This was the first time we have stayed here but will definitely come again. Would highly recommend, especially perfect for dog owners. "
