Enjoyed our stay
Great location. Close to amenities and lovely short walks to start the day off! As having young kids the bedroom locations (ground floor and loft) didn’t work for us so me and my husband had to split our sleeping arrangements so the kids weren’t alone.

Staveley
Great property great location for what we were looking for. Everything we need within the house except an iron and ironing board. Luckily there is an ironing shop in Kendal as we were attending a wedding while staying. One other thing when travelling with children. The ground floor room is the twin. Our kids who are ten were not comfortable on the floor with the door being so close. Not a huge problem but worth considering for young families. Beautiful and home from home house and we would consider staying again.

Great location.
Great location. Good amenities nearby. Could do with having a couple of comfy sofas instead of posh looking chairs but otherwise a fab place. Clean and cosy. Will return. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

A dog/child friendly balcony would have been better and a sofa bed in the living area, as the dogs weren't allowed in the bedrooms. This instruction could have been put in the booking as we didn't find it out until we arrived. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Fantastic cottage in delightful Staveley.
Fantastic cottage in delightful Staveley. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Well equipped cottage, comfy beds and quiet - the railway line surprisingly so. Really lovely kitchen diner - thank you for the little treats on arrival and the firewood (and the Christmas tree - so lovely to pull up outside and see the twinkly lights!). Great for a walking holiday or wintery weather - lots of space for damp coats and boots with a radiator to dry everything out. Minor things - would be great if the kitchen had some half/pint glasses for squash and sampling the delights of the Hawkshead Brewery and a set of scales would be fabulous. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others - if you haven’t stayed in Staveley before, you’re missing out! One of our favourite places - ideally placed for walks and the Lakes, and great for foodies with Hawkshead Brewery, More Artisan Bakery, a Coffee Roastery Cafe and the recent addition of the most divine Gelato-makers. Eagle and Child pub is lovely and very welcoming too.

Lovely cottage.
Lovely cottage. Nicely decorated. We found it fine for parking. Couldn't always park up on the road outside but parked round the corner which wasn't a problem. My parents used the parking spot at the side of the house as ours was an estate car and their car fitted in easier. The shower upstairs was a tight squeeze and I did bump my head the first time (powerful shower though) but again if that is a problem there is a lovely roomy shower downstairs to use. Railway line at the rear but we never heard the trains going past during the night and they weren't very frequent during the day. Not far to the shops, pub, or park - only a 5 minutes walk. We took our dog with us and the local pub, brewery and wilfs café allow dogs in. I recommend all 3. All in all a lovely location and property.

We had a lovely holiday ,the noise from the trains were not a problem. Parking was very tight if you have anything bigger than a Fiesta it will not fit in the parking area. There is nowhere else to park as the street was full of other cars.

Excellent very clean well equipped cottage. Parking as mentioned in other reviews might be an issue, we could not make use of space provided as was too small for our family size car, we parked in the street when possible or one of the surrounding streets. Stavley was a good base for exploring the surrounding area

Lovely house, very clean with comfortable furniture and good decor. Log burner makes the living area very cosy. Train line is very quiet so wasn’t an issue at all. The location is good (functional) as it is close to places of interest and the town itself has quite a lot to offer, but the street is busy so it’s not a quiet/beautiful location. The parking space is tiny and as the road is narrow with lots of parked cars it’s difficult to even get the car into the space, but most of the time there was street parking available nearby. Would recommend to friends.
