"The staff were very friendly and helpful. Ms Izumi provided detailed instructions during the check-in procedure. The onsen facilities were excellent - exactly what we needed to relax and enjoy the amazing surroundings. The kaiseki dinner on the 1st night and the Kobe beef on the 2nd night were excellent. We would definitely return to stay."

"We stayed in a room with a private onsen and it was probably the highlight of our entire trip. Everything was conveniently around our stay as well which made it very convenient to walk for food or shopping. The staff was also incredibly helpful and friendly! I recommend this stay 10/10."

"Very rustic, but in a nice way. Staff were very attentive and made great efforts to speak English and address our questions and needs. Room was very nice and quite large. However, beds could have been more comfortable. "

"The staff here is extremely friendly and welcoming. They make you feel like royalty. I wish I stayed longer. Such a unique experience, I highly recommend it. The place is very unique as well and gives you an old Japan vibe. If I’m ever back in Kyoto, I’d stay here in a heartbeat! Thank you Seikoro!"

"Amazing ryokan stay in the heart of Kyoto; there’s a public bath you can try which is traditional and fun way to shower / bathe. When you check in they pour you tea and give you traditional sweet; they then go through breakfast times; breakfast in the room is amazing and must try. The set up of the beds was also done seamlessly and everyone was super courteous and polite - thank you for a great stay! "

"The board game theme throughout the hotel was fun for families. From the coin search in the rooms, elevator, lobbies to the changing trivia games for prizes the staff at Mimaru kept it fresh for the kids to keep them entertained. Friendly front desk ensured that luggage arriving via luggage service was waiting in the room on check-in. Great for offering suggestions on what to do or see or helping hail a taxi. "15 minutes walk to Dotonbori Street. Close to shopping and eating areas. A bit noisy from traffic. Hotel has all amenities including washer. Overall a good stay."
