"I’ve been to many capsules across Japan and my stay here was at the too. Yes, I’ve stayed in Kyoto, Osaka, but wanted to spend a few days in Ōtsu and experience a slower pace and so glad I did! The reviews on Google and Orbitz rated The Calendar high so I gave it a try and I was not disappointed. "I was solo traveling in Japan as a woman and this capsule hotel was amazing: the location was perfect right in Gion; the staff were SO friendly and welcoming and it felt like coming home everytime I walked through the lobby; the bathrooms and capsule area were extremely clean and the beds were super comfortable and I was surprised at how easy it was to stay in a capsule room!
