"If not for the excellent location (walking distance to Kailua town, and the sunset views are spectacular), I would seriously consider staying somewhere else on my next trip (approx. every 3-5 years). The exorbitant resort fee is a ripoff, and to charge for self-parking ABOVE AND BEYOND the fee is almost criminal. What do you get for this fee? 2 bottles of water — for the stay, not each day! — doesn’t come close to justifying the fee. I was given a coupon for 2 Mai Tais; when I explained that...

"overall property was fine. Decor dated, but clean. Appreciated full kitchen. Downside; cable TV in bedroom did not work and tub/shower drain in the bedroom suite was clogged and would not drain. Necessitated using the other bathroom which had no counter - a bit inconvienent. "Not the best for relaxation. Partial Ocean view was nice, however, Small Lanai faces busy traffic. Unit was outdated, patio door was struggle to operate & screen was even worse. Kitchen was decently stocked for cooking. Biggest disappointment was the absurdly TINY Hot Tub across the road that was barely big enough for 4 people. "
