"Property has been renovated since I has here last year (same week), at least the part I saw. New bathroom, tub, fixtures etc. they even took the switch plates off before painting the room. I enjoy staying here because they give a comfortable chair to sit in and even a side table for you drink or tablet. Very good breakfast, staff very friendly, mattresses could use replacement is my only complaint."

"This hotel is a real piece of history and is decorated and furnished accordingly, so don't expect king sized modern beds and air conditioning. However, if , like me, you appreciate people taking the effort to give you an unforgettable experience of how things used to be, this is the place. The town itself is a lovely reminder of what the Gold Country was like in the late 1800s with lots of old buildings along a main street. "Hotel is nice, in an easy access location. Shower tube was not draining well the water and unfortunately part of the staff was not very friendly."
