"Stay was good, but this is not a traditional hotel. This is a ryokan-style room with kitchen and table. Two beds were raised, and two were futons, like mattress pads on the tatami. (Mind you, they were not uncomfortable, they are just not the 'norm' if you're coming from US.) If you're planning on cooking, this would be a good place. The breakfast offered is toast and coffee, which you would need to make in your room. The location is a little out of the way, but not too bad. "

"The host was really good at communicating with us. The room was small as others have suggested and it was difficult to manoeuvre in despite us having only two cabin sized bags. The room also had an issue with dampness as the door and window often has small water pools from condensation. But for the price you can’t complain and it was clean and a good quiet location. "

"We enjoyed our stay. The apartment was a bit smaller than expected. But the beds were cozy. The kitchen could use some amenities. There were no paper towels or napkins and only two spoons. A little tea or coffee would also be nice. The neighborhood is really lovely, lots of little shops and restaurants. The apartment is very close to the Yamanote line which goes everywhere. All in all it is a very good, economical choice."

"I really love the location. The JR station is only a stop away from Ueno, and two stops away from Tokyo! Apartment is slightly far from the station after a day of walking and shopping, especially you are carrying so many things. There was renovation nearby which is the minus point.
