"First time for us in Japan. We chose this listing mainly for the location and how many it could accommodate. It was only a few minutes walk to the train station as well as 7/11, Family Mart and places to eat. The unit itself could’ve been cleaner and in need of upkeep. The trash receptacles were labeled but faded which made it confusing. We also did not anticipate the narrow flights of stairs as it was not fully described in the listing. I would not recommend if you’re traveling with a toddler...

"Apartment is behind a bathroom, same building. Good thing is there is lots of space compared to other Japanese apartments. Furnishing are sparse, and apartment could be decorated better. Location is nice area, village with lots of small shop’s restaurants and local people. If owners had turned in AC before we arrived that would have helped our first impression, since when we arrived the apartment was super hot, and took hours to become comfortable."
